KNN Dimona
A member of the African Hebrew Israelites of Jerusalem, Zehorah resides in Dimona, Israel, in “The Village of Peace.” Known for its achievements in communal living and self sufficiency, they are arguably considered the world’s most progressive and health conscious community.
Forty years after daring to chart a course contrary to contemporary trends and being forged in the furnace of adversity, they have been called “the miracle in the desert” and “an island of sanity”. As adherents to the visionary teachings and example of spiritual leader Ben Ammi, they are sought after globally as advisors in health and nutrition, agriculture, it is such that uniquely shapes and colors Zehorah’s music: she sings only of that which she knows.

THE ‘BLOSSOM IN THE DESERT’ CD PROVIDED THE INSPIRATIONAL THEME FOR OUTREACH CLASS IN NOTTINGHAM, ENGLAND, U.K. LAST WEEKEND
‘Blossom in the Desert’ is now in spiritual and cultural bloom
Soferet Baht Yehuda
KNN Correspondent for British Isles
‘Blossom in the Desert, The Prophecy and the Witnesses: they said that nothing could grow there!’ was the inspirational message that was delivered to the Nottingham’s Sainthood last weekend.
The topic provided the opportunity for the presentation and promotional drive of the CD and Ahkote Zehorah’s International tour. It was also timely for the
message from Anointed Spiritual Leader of the African Hebrew Israelites of Jerusalem, Ben Ammi Ben Israel on the ‘ Witnesses to the ascension of Divine Culture.’
Under the auspices of the Institute of Regenerative Truth of the British Isles Extension, the lecturer Introduced her subject with the scriptural reference Isaiah 35: 1-10. A Poem on the Return of the Exiles: The Blessings of the Kingdom.
“The wilderness and the Solitary place shall be glad for them and the desert shall blossom as a rose. It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice even with joy and singing; the glory of and Lebanon shall be given unto it, the Excellency of Carmel and Sharon they shall see the glory of Yah-wah and the Excellency of our God.”
African Heritage Study Bible
In developing her core message, it was demonstrated how the prophecy of Isaiah on the return of the exiled African Hebrew Israelites to the Promised Land and the Negev region or Judean Desert; was fulfilled through the divinely- led, extraordinary leadership of Ben Ammi the Anointed from his 45 seconds vision received in February 1966, Chicago, USA.
Dimona, Southern Israel in the heart of the Judean Hills as sung in Zehorah’s lyrics of the title track 11, ‘Blossom in the Desert’ is now in spiritual and cultural bloom. She called a number of witnesses to testify.
Ahkote Roniyah’s quote summed up the message of the CD in the following comment, “ …of all the African nation-building initiatives I have knowledge of globally, the Kingdom of Yah at Jerusalem is the most systematic, institutionalised and successful as repatriation and reparations go under the definition extraordinary Ben Ammi’s leadership.”
Blossom in the Desert will be launched in London on Wednesday 20th August 2008 by Ahk Elkadame Ben Shaleahk, Director KOY Media and Promotional Manager for Zehorah and International Tour 2008.

Could a Pill Replace Exercise?
Scientists have shown that a drug improves endurance in mice

KNN: What will they think of next?
Good news for couch potatoes. There may be a pill that lets them watch their TV and get their exercise, too—without moving a muscle.
Scientists have found a drug that mimics the effects of a workout by, among other things, increasing the body's ability to burn fat.
The study shows the pill can also increase endurance; lab mice that took it ran more than 40 percent longer on a treadmill than their untreated peers.
"It's tricking the muscle into 'believing' it's been exercised daily," says Ronald Evans, a developmental biologist at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, in La Jolla, Calif., and co-author of a study published in Cell. "It proves you can have a pharmacologic equivalent to exercise.
"In addition to supercharging stamina, the drug, called AICAR, may also be useful in treating debilitating muscular disorders such as muscular dystrophy as well as metabolic diseases such as diabetes, because it also appears to help the body use and remove sugar from the blood more effectively.
Researchers say that AICAR—which is in clinical trials to treat some heart ailments—in essence works by reprogramming muscle, switching it from sugar-burning, fast twitch muscle—which is better for speed and power—into fat-burning, slow-twitch muscle that does not tire as easily.
The key to this transformation is a protein called PPARdelta, which Evan's team previously showed could create so-called high-endurance "marathon mice" if it genetically engineered the animals were genetically engineered to make a lot of it. But, another experimental drug that targeted only PPARdelta had some metabolic benefits, including lowering fatty acids and blood sugar, but it only boosted endurance in mice that were running regularly.

Delta to raise baggage fees
Domestic flights will increase from $25 to $50
Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal
by Atlanta Business Chronicle
Delta Air Lines Inc. will increase fees for checked baggage on some domestic and international flights to cope with skyrocketing fuel prices.
for the second checked bag on domestic flights will increase from $25 to $50 for passengers who purchased a ticket on or after July 31 for flights on or after Aug. 5. Fees for items requiring special care, such as surfboards, also will increase on both domestic and international routes.
First checked bags will remain complementary on domestic flights, as will the first two checked bags on international trips, the carrier said.
Passengers in first class, BusinessElite customers and Medallion customers will still be able to check up to three bags at no charge, the airline said.
The fee hikes will apply to passengers who purchased a ticket on or after July 31 for flights on or after Aug. 5, the airline said. Fuel costs have risen more than 70 percent in the past year, and Atlanta-based Delta (NYSE: DAL) said the fees will help offset rising costs.
Fee changes for Canadian and Brazilian routes will require foreign government approval.

Marriage Survey Results
98% of the peopled surveyed were married and happy
Ahtur Keymah
KNN-Cleveland
We at KNN would like to thank everyone who participated in our Marriage Survey. Of the up to 100 people that were surveyed 98% of them were married and happy. All of the participants from the Kingdom of Yah who responded stated that they were married.
Over 75% of them have been married for more than 15 years and 25% have been married for less than 15 years. Of those who responded 45 years was the longest marriage that we recorded and 1 year and 6 months was the shortest.
When asked what was the main ingredient for a lasting marriage we received several responses. We have included some of the comments below.
Comments:
“I think the most important ingredient for a lasting relationship is friendship with spouse, laughter, balance in life (time spent appropriately with work, children, exercise, vacation, study, etc), trust and maturity!”
“The element to a successful marriage starts with having a foundation based on Yah, then love, respect, and love.”
“LOVE AND RESPECT”
“I would say being open and honest about how you feel and what you are going through is key. Also, understanding that your spouse is NOT responsible for your happiness but you are responsible for continuing to be the person they rose in love with and growing together towards YAH!”
“Being obedient to the will of Yah is the most important ingredient for a lasting relationship.”
“My initial thought was openness (nikivah element): open to receiving guidance and correction, open to hearing the higher mind (wisdom of the holy spirit), open to seeing self thorough your partner's eyes, open to growth, etc. This goes both ways: expressing the nikivah elememt.
But as I think about it, openness stems from TRUST. Trust is foundational. When you trust in the lord with all your heart, there is no reason to have your defenses up and be guarded - closed minded (leaning to your own mind) because you know and trust that you have been brought together for the purpose of enhancing one another's spiritual growth...All things are working together for good and no-thing has come to hurt you. So you are open to hearing, receiving, seeing, guidance, correction, etc…..TRUST is my answer.”
“Trust & Honesty, Working together in Harmony...”
“The most Important ingredient is the understanding that YAH is in the middle and is the Pillar that keeps it standing and that we are apart of a more lasting Divine Marriage with the Creator. We understand that we are a Union with a Higher Purpose and a Union that reflects Yah on Earth. HalleuYah”
“A Yah Centered commitment to building Yah's kingdom in your life and relationships, divine communication, prayer, discernment, hearing and emotional freedom.”
Again, we at KNN would like to thank everyone for their participation, comments, and continual support. One of the main purposes of this survey was to verify that those that allow God/Yah to be the central ingredient in their relationship will have longer lasting, more happy relationships and marriages.
Thanks again.
