This Is Your Brain on Violence

The first study to look at the direct effect of videogames on teen brains documents functional differences between violent and nonviolent play.

Newsweek Health

For nearly 35 years, Americans have lived with videogames—and the controversy surrounding them. Proponents say the games are fun and even help teach kids how to use logic to solve problems. Critics say the more violent games—including some that reward players for killing innocent bystanders and police—increase aggressive thoughts and antisocial behavior.

Unfortunately, the debate has suffered from a dearth of empirical evidence about the effect of videogames. Now, a new brain-imaging study from Indiana University—the first of its kind—suggests that playing violent videogames may indeed change the way a person feels and acts. In the study, released Tuesday at the at the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America, researchers found that teenagers who played a violent videogame exhibited increased activity in a part of the brain that governs emotional arousal. The same teens showed decreased activity in the parts of the brain involved in focus, inhibition and concentration. See: This is your brain on violent video games

Report: 7 million Americans in justice system

One in every 32 U.S. adults behind bars, on probation or on parole in 2005
Associated Press

WASHINGTON - A record 7 million people -- or one in every 32 American adults -- were behind bars, on probation or on parole by the end of last year, according to the Justice Department. Of those, 2,193,798 were in prison or jail, an increase of 2.7 percent over the previous year. Even though data show more prison releases, the report said, admissions still exceed releases. More than 4.1 million people were on probation and 784,208 were on parole at the end of 2005......Racial disparities among prisoners persist. In the 25-29 age group, 8.1 percent -- about one in every 13 -- of black men are incarcerated, compared with 2.6 percent of Hispanic men and 1.1 percent of white men. And it is not much different among women. By the end of 2005, black women were more than twice as likely as Hispanics and over three times as white women to be in prison. Prince Asiel Electrifies Saints at National Meeting

Ahk Eitai-KNN Staff

From November 24th through the 26th the Atlanta Extension of the Kingdom of the Gods hosted the 2006 National Meeting. His Excellency Prince Asiel and the rest of the Leadership in attendance lead the Saints on an expansive, electrifying journey of empowerment and self-realization.

Using Psalms 82 (YHWH and the gods) and Isaiah 60: 1 – 5 as his framework, the Holy Ambassador began the Conference by emphasizing that his objective was not to provide any knew information to the Saints. He stated instead that his primary goal was to re-energize and re-activate what has been/is already resident (and, perhaps dormant or inert) within each of us. The Shagreer explained that the reality of our Divinity or Godhood will be evidenced in our ability to impact and influence our particular environment(s).

Impact is defined as the force or impression of one thing upon another;

Influence is defined as an ethereal (heavenly, spiritual) fluid that flows from the Stars (Luminaries) and believed to affect and control human (earthly) events;
An emanation of occult (hidden, secret) power.

The Great Prince offered a multitude of dynamic testimonies relative to the storied history of the Kingdom as proof of the Divine Power available to us all. Prince Asiel charged the Saints to overcome any lingering fears or doubts and access the YHWH within us all – to “Arise” and become the next great testimony of the Kingdom – the Gods of the 7th Realm!

This, he admonished, is the only way that the great history of this glorious Kingdom can continue on into Eternity and beyond!

Why would you bleach your skin?

Why would anyone use skin-lightening cream?
KNN Dimona

The French police have seized 15 tons of skin-lightening cream - the largest catch the French authorities have ever made of such products. Skin-bleaching products are illegal in France because of the potential dangers they pose to users' health. However all across Africa people, especially women, use them because they believe it will make them look more beautiful. Most of these products are dangerous to the skin and African countries, such as Tanzania and The Gambia, have also banned them.

2006 National Meeting Was A Huge Success

KNN Cleveland

Yah Khai!! This years Holy Convocation was truly a remarkable event. It represented a transition and elevation in the 7th Realm of the Marriage. This weekend was verification of the movement and out pouring of the Holy Spirit. We were told that it is now time for us to be who we created to be.

“ Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.”
Isa. 60:1-2

Nasik Asiel taught us that we were created to be the spiritual guides for the people of the world. We can no longer sit back and watch the current situation occurring in the midst of our people and simply do nothing. It is time for those who truly believe in God to “arise and shine”.

He read an article that stated that up to 70-75% of African Americans could not last beyond 60-90 days if a change their financial situation occurred i.e. loss of a job or major illness. We must now take our destiny into our own hands.

The writings of the Holy Scriptures reveled to us that in the latter days (which is now) that the sons and daughter of God would arise and establish a righteous paradigm for people who desired a change to flow unto. That time is now.

Everyone must now search their soul and evaluate what God has called them to do. What’s holding you back? Fear, doubt, denial of the power of God? Arise and shine. This was the message of this year’s National Meeting. Are you ready to get into the game or are you content sitting on the sidelines? The World is waiting and depending on you!!!
