Call on youth to act as agents of change-Story by Emmanuel Bonney & Elvina Mensah-King 2/22/06

The Minister of Health, Major Courage Quashigah has called on the youth to use home grown ingenuities to promote increased productivity for the betterment of the people. He said the youth should stand up and be counted as agents of change in order to lead in the renewal of families, communities, the nation, and continent. Major Quashigah said this when he opened a two-day youth conference in Accra yesterday.

The conference, which is being organized by The Chosen First Fruit of the African Hebrew Israelite Community and the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS), is on the theme, “Restoration of Love for our Continent, of Glory for our Culture, of Faith in our Vision, and of Confidence in our Ability”…The President of NUGS, Mr. Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa, said the conference was aimed at sharing ideas with members of The Chosen First Fruit from Israel on their success story which had been widely acclaimed.

“Having been privy to their background, we were very impressed and we think we can learn a lot from them. When you go to their community they have a lot to show in terms of success in life,” he stated.
