CODEX & Nutricide Pt. 1

Codex Alimentarius Summarized in 7 Points
KNN-Ghana

1) Started in 1962 by UN, Imposed by WTO Sanctions

Codex Alimentarius was created in 1962 as a trade Commission by the UN to control the international trade of food. Its initial intentions may have been altruistic but it has been taken over by corporate interests, most notably the pharmaceutical, pesticide, biotechnology and chemical industries.

Codex Alimentarius is backed up by the crippling trade sanctions of the World Trade Organization (WTO). Any non Codex-compliant nation would face huge economic punishment since they would automatically lose in any food-trade dispute with a Codex compliant country. Currently there are 160 member countries.

2) “Nutrients are Toxins” Is Junk Science

Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) has two committees which impact nutrition. One of them, the “Codex Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary Uses” (CCNFSDU), is chaired by Dr. Rolf Grossklaus, a physician who believes that nutrition has no role in health. This is the “top-guy” for Codex nutritional policy, and he has stated that “nutrition is not relevant to health”.

As unbelievable as it may sound, Dr. Grossklaus actually declared nutrients to be toxins in 1994 and instituted the use of toxicology (Risk Assessment) to prevent nutrients from having any impact on humans who take supplements! It is worth mentioning that Dr. Grossklaus happens to own the Risk Assessment company advising CCNFSDU and Codex on this issue. This company makes money when its toxicology services are used for the “assessment” of nutrients. Here in the U.S. we call that a “conflict of interest”.

Codex is made up of thousands of standards and guidelines. One of them, the Vitamin and Mineral Guideline (VMG), is designed to permit only ultra low doses of vitamins and minerals (and make clinically effective nutrients illegal). How can the VMG restrict dosages of vitamins and minerals? By using Risk Assessment (toxicology) to assess nutrients.

While Risk Assessment is a legitimate science (it is a branch of toxicology), it is the wrong science for assessing nutrients! In fact, in this context, it is actually junk science. Biochemistry, the science of life processes, is the correct science for assessing nutrients. Codex Alimentarius treats nutrients as toxins, which is literally insane. Nutrients are not toxins - they are essential for life.

No matter what Codex Alimentarius officials say to convince you that Risk Assessment is a “science-based” approach to nutrients, it is not. And it is worth repeating that Dr. Grossklaus, the head of Codex Alimentarius, owns the Risk Assessment company advising CCNFSDU and Codex on the “benefit” of using Risk Assessment to assess nutrients.

3) Not Consumer Protection - That’s Propaganda

Contrary to the propaganda, Codex Alimentarius has nothing to do with consumer protection. Nothing! Codex is about the economic ambitions of multi-national corporations, in particular, the pharmaceutical industry. Using their multi billion-dollar marketing budgets, these industries have launched a massive media propaganda campaign to paint Codex Alimentarius as a benevolent tool of “consumer protection”, as well as to negatively taint the image of natural health options and mislead people to fear them as “dangerous”, so they will take drugs (which really are dangerous). Natural health products and options have an amazing safety record and are remarkably effective, especially when compared to pharmaceutical drugs.

Unfortunately, one-time defenders of health freedom such as National Nutritional Foods Association (NNFA) and Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) have joined the propaganda bandwagon and are spreading false information saying that Codex Alimentarius is either “harmless” or benevolent “consumer protection”. Neither is true. The membership of these one-time defenders of health freedom has become permeated by people from the pharmaceutical industry (for example, CRN counts as its members corporations such as Monsanto® and Bayer®).

Fall back-Daylight saving time ends Sunday

It's time to change your clock
KNN News

Beginning this year, daylight saving time ends the first Sunday of November -- one week later than usual. That means clocks need to be set back an hour on Sunday at 2 a.m. Daylight saving time also started earlier this year; we changed the clocks the second Sunday in March.

The new rules were enacted by Congress in 2005, but weren't put into effect immediately so potential software problems could be worked out, said David Prerau, author of "Seize the Daylight: The Curious and Contentious Story of Daylight Saving Time." Prerau also was a consultant to Congress on the law extending daylight saving time.

Broccoli Helps Fight Skin Cancer

What's good for your diet may also guard against skin cancer
By Amanda Gardner
HealthDay Reporter

THURSDAY, Oct. 25 (HealthDay News) -- What's good for your diet may also guard against skin cancer. Scientists have discovered that an extract of broccoli sprouts protects the skin against the sun's harmful ultraviolet rays.

"We looked in vegetables, and it turned out they had a rather large quantities of a compound that induced this system, particularly in cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, et cetera," Talalay said.

The compound, called sulforaphane, is found in broccoli sprout extracts and was first identified by Talalay and his colleagues more than 15 years ago. Sulforaphane has been shown to inhibit tumor development in animals.

"If you apply an extract of broccoli sprouts that contains high levels of sulforaphane to regions of human skin, you can protect them very substantially," Talalay said. "We believe, to the best of our knowledge, that this is the first demonstration of protection against a known human carcinogen in humans."

California Fires - "We Can't Stop it"

Officials all but concede defeat to wildfires as estimated 1 million evacuate
MSNBC News Service

SAN DIEGO - Faced with unrelenting winds whipping wildfires into a frenzy across Southern California, firefighters conceded defeat on many fronts Tuesday to an unstoppable force that has chased an estimated 1 million people away.

Unless the shrieking Santa Ana winds subside, and that’s not expected for at least another day, fire crews say they can do little more than try to wait it out and react — tamping out spot fires and chasing ribbons of airborne embers to keep new fires from flaring.

“If it’s this big and blowing with as much wind as it’s got, it’ll go all the way to the ocean before it stops,” said San Diego Fire Capt. Kirk Humphries. “We can save some stuff but we can’t stop it.”

Maine middle school to offer birth control

School board approves pills and patches for students ages 11 to 13
Associated Press

PORTLAND, Maine - Pupils at a city middle school will be able to get birth control pills and patches at their student health center after the local school board approved the proposal Wednesday evening.

The plan, offered by city health officials, makes King Middle School the first middle school in Maine to make a full range of contraception available to students in grades 6 through 8, according to the state Department of Health and Human Services.

There are no national figures on how many middle schools, where most students range in age from 11 to 13, provide such services.

Officials Fear Water Crisis in Atlanta

Officials Fear Water Crisis in Atlanta
By Greg Bluestein
Associated Press

ATLANTA (Oct. 19) - With the South in the grip of an epic drought and its largest city holding less than a 90-day supply of water, officials are scrambling to deal with the worst-case scenario: What if Atlanta's faucets really do go dry?

So far, no real backup plan exists. And there are no quick fixes among suggested solutions, which include piping water in from rivers in neighboring states, building more regional reservoirs, setting up a statewide recycling system or even desalinating water from the Atlantic Ocean.

"It's amazing that things have come to this," said Ray Wiedman, owner of an Atlanta landscaper business. "Everybody knew the growth was coming. We haven't had a plan for all the people coming here?" Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue seems to be pinning his hopes on a two-pronged approach: urging water conservation and reducing water flowing out of federally controlled lakes.

But that may not be enough to stave off the water crisis. More than a quarter of the Southeast is covered by an "exceptional" drought - the National Weather Service's worst drought category. The Atlanta area, with a population of 5 million, is smack in the middle of the affected region, which extends like a dark cloud over most of Tennessee, Alabama and the northern half of Georgia, as well as parts of North and South Carolina, Kentucky and Virginia.

The 2007 Holy Jerusalem Writer’s Conference-Chicago

An Unimaginably Powerful Weekend
By Eitai B. N. Aharon
KNN-Cleveland

The 2007 Holy Jerusalem Writer’s Conference convened on Yom Sheeshee (Friday) October 12th and concluded on Yom Rishone (Sunday) October 14th. The Alumni House, situated in the heart of the historic University of Chicago campus, provided a cozy and opulent setting for this power-packed weekend long presentation. The theme of this dynamic forum was “The 5000 Year Evolution of the Adamic / Bray-sheet Civilization; 3000 BCE to 2000 ACE.

The purpose of this unique conference was to commemorate the African Hebrew Israelite’s 40th year of existing outside of the United States as a thriving independent community. This comprehensive symposium reviewed and underscored each of the significant social, spiritual and cultural epochs that shaped and defined the African Hebrew civilization and culture. The spiritual, emotional and intellectual impact that this immensely powerful presentation had on both speakers and listeners is nearly impossible to put into words!

On day one (Saturday, Yom Shabbat), Ahturah Yoahnah topped a list of distinguished presenters and speakers. The morning program included a moving tribute to the esteemed founder of The Holy Jerusalem Writer’s Conference, Prince Dr. Shaleak Ben Yehudah by his inimitable student and protégé Dr. Avimeleck. In their capacity as the inaugural presenters of the conference both Ahturah Yoahnah and Dr. Avimeleck each carefully emphasized the spiritual significance of this extraordinary commemorative event. As advertised, the ensuing program would prove to be no less than a phenomenal spiritual happening!

Throughout the day conference organizer, Dr. Ahtur Khazriel Ben Israel provided a continuous historical narrative and informed commentary that aptly set the stage for each speaker. The spiritual brilliance and intellectual acumen of each and every speaker on the roster was simply awe-inspiring!! The intense spiritual energy generated by these prodigious expositors of Truth was palpable and set the tone for the day.

The closing session was highlighted by a thrilling keynote presentation by Atlanta’s own Nasiy Rahm. The legendary Prince of Order provided an insightful and captivating preview of his newly released book “The Ramle Seven; Seven Men and the Destiny of a Nation” by Shamiyah E. Elyahkeem . This book is a biographical narrative of the remarkable events surrounding the political imprisonment of seven African Hebrew Israelites in Israel’s infamous Ramle maximum security prison in 1972. Nasiy Rahm gave a vivid personal testimony of the miraculous exploits of seven mighty men of destiny who courageously prevailed against the negative forces that had aligned themselves against the Kingdom of Yah at that time. And so, the first full day of this great conference was brought to a close with a dramatic and resounding flourish!!

On day two (Sunday, Yom Rishone) Dr. Ahtur Khazriel established the historical context that provided the framework for a quartet of speakers who would begin and end the day’s morning session. Ahtur Evutar, and Ahk Neftakiyah shared inspiring testimonies relative to their experiences in West Africa (Ghana and Liberia, respectively). Afterwards, the very youthful Dr. Ahturah Yahfah highlighted the Redemptive Enterprises and Institutions of this great Kingdom.

Ahtur Ben Khiel followed with a very informative and often quite humorous account of the case of The United States Government vs. Warren Brown (His Excellency Prince Asiel). Ahtur summarized some of the stunning episodes that make up the period in Kingdom history known as The Great Siege. It was during this time that the Federal Government of the United States conspired with other international agencies in a bold attempt to destroy the nascent Kingdom of Yah. Even though this notorious case was the longest and most expensive trial in the history of the Washington D.C. court system, it resulted in the acquittal of the Great Ambassador and all of the individuals who faithfully stood with him during this very pivotal epoch of Kingdom history. Fittingly, as Ahtur Ben Khiel was nearing the close of this enthralling presentation, the Great Ambassador, himself, Nasiy Asiel Ben Israel entered the venue with entourage in tow!

The Shagreer punctuated the first portion of the day’s activities with a brief but very personal “talk” in which he emphasized – not his own greatness – but the greatness of each individual in the Kingdom. The Great Prince took special care to explain that all of the profound and miraculous achievements that comprise the previous 40 years await a response from those who would lead the way into the next 40 years. It is up to us to write the next magnificent chapter of our storied history! The Holy Ambassador ended his address by instructing the Saints to take a serious internal inventory to determine if we are really committed to going all the way with this. He said that we should ask the question, Am I who and what I want to be? And, if not, what am I lacking? We carried these sobering questions with us as the morning program concluded.

The consummating activities of the conference reconvened at the International House banquet hall located just a short distance from the Alumni House. Dr. Avimeleck hosted the Special Awards Banquet. The Special Awards Banquet underscored an outstanding program which began with a virtuoso jazz set by Ahk David and the Divine Universal Brotherhood Band. Akote Bahtiyah and an ensemble cast of actors gave an entertaining theatrical performance that answered the thought-provoking question, What if Abba Never Moved on the Vision?

As the many attendees sipped sparkling apple cider and dined sumptuously on the delicious carte du jour, Crown Dr. Khazriel acknowledged those Saints who had distinguished themselves in service throughout the various North American extensions. Finally, as was the case in the morning session, His Excellency Nasiy Asiel Ben Israel closed out this exhilarating event with a recap of the Vision that has inspired us thus far, and that will propel us into the next 40 years!

Smart clothes are on the way

How Smart Clothes Work
by Kevin Bonsor
Howstuffworks.com

There's a major movement going on in the electronics and computer industries to develop wearable devices for what's being called the post-PC era. We are now at the dawn of that era, and some of these devices are already making their way to the consumer market. Despite the small size and portability of these devices, they are still noticeable and aren't always very aesthetically pleasing. The next phase of this post-PC era will be to integrate computers and other devices directly into our clothing, so that they are virtually invisible.

In the next few years, we might be filling our closets with smart shirts that can read our heart rate and breathing, and musical jackets with built in all-fabric keypads. Thin light-emitting diode (LED) monitors could even be integrated into this apparel to display text and images. Computerized clothes will be the next step in making computers and devices portable without having to strap electronics to our bodies or fill our pockets with a plethora of gadgets. These new digital clothes aren't necessarily designed to replace your PC, but they will be able to perform some of the same functions.

Computerized clothes are the ultimate in portable high-tech gadgetry. In this edition of How Stuff WILL Work, you will learn just what these clothes are made of, who is making them and what kind of products we might be wearing in the coming decade.

Study: 41 million in U.S. can't afford basics

One in five working families has a tough time affording basics like shelter and health care while earning too much to qualify for food stamps or Medicaid, according to a new report
By MarketWatch
MSN Money

About one in five working American families can't afford basic needs, and many scrape to get by on insufficient income and government aid, policy researchers conclude in a report (.pdf file) released today.

Many of these workers earn too much to qualify for "work supports" such as Medicaid and food stamps, while their employer-provided health insurance doesn't cover enough of their basic medical costs, according to the report by the Center for Economic and Policy Research and the Center for Social Policy at the University of Massachusetts.

"We no longer live in a world where having a job means you're automatically able to make ends meet," said Heather Boushey, co-author of the report.

Rampage shakes Cleveland school

Suspended student, 14, opens fire in building, wounding four before killing himself
Chris Maag and Ian Urbina
New York Times

CLEVELAND -- Disgruntled about having been suspended on Monday after a fight, a 14-year-old student shot and injured two students and two teachers at a downtown Cleveland high school on Wednesday before fatally shooting himself, authorities said.

None of the victims' injuries were considered life-threatening. The gunman was identified as Asa H. Coon, a freshman at the school, SuccessTech Academy. The police and school officials said that around 1:15 p.m., Coon arrived at the school armed with two handguns, a .38 and a .22 caliber, and that he began working his way up two flights of stairs before opening fire in a crowded hallway on the third floor.

Within minutes, the principal announced a "code blue" over the intercom, leading some students to flee into the halls, while others hid in closets and under desks. The police said they believed Coon had singled out the two teachers, who may have played a role in his suspension.

Study Ties Heart Disease to Marital Strife

A lousy marriage might literally make you sick
By Lindsey Tanner
Associated Press

A lousy marriage might literally make you sick. Marital strife and other bad personal relationships can raise your risk for heart disease, researchers reported Monday.

What it likely boils down to is stress - a well-known contributor to health problems, as well as a potential byproduct of troubled relationships, the scientists said.

In a study of 9,011 British civil servants, most of them married, those with the worst close relationships were 34 percent more likely to have heart attacks or other heart trouble during 12 years of follow-up than those with good relationships. That included partners, close relatives and friends.

Western Drought Provoking More Than Water Wars

Worst western drought in 500 years
by Franklin Bell
Executive Intelligence Review
What the U.S. Geological Survey has identified as the worst western drought in 500 years, is propelling the whole western region of the North American continent toward conditions for which financial oligarchs' anti-infrastructure advocates pine: drastic de-population of the North American West, within this decade.

The current drought doesn't stop at the United States' northern border negotiated with the British Empire, nor at the southern border of the Gadsden Purchase. The North American Drought Monitor, compiled by the American, Mexican, and Canadian national governments, shows "Abnormally Dry" to "Exceptionally Dry" conditions stretching from an area well above the panhandle in Alaska, to central western Mexico. Parts of Western Texas have been afflicted with drought for the past dozen years.

The 200,000-square-mile Ogallala Aquifer that stretches from South Dakota to Texas, and provides water for one-fifth of the irrigated land in the country, is being depleted 14 times faster than its normal process of restoration.
In early 2000, Lake Powell was 95% full. Since then, it has drained so rapidly that water experts say it may drop to "dead pool" levels, below which it cannot deliver stored water downstream.

Company recalls 21.7 million pounds of beef

New Jersey firm expands recall because of E. coli concerns
Associated Press

TRENTON, N.J. - The Topps Meat Co. on Saturday expanded its recall of frozen hamburger patties to include 21.7 million pounds of ground beef that may be contaminated with E. coli bacteria that sickened more than a dozen people in eight states.

The recall of products distributed to retail grocery stores and food service institutions in the United States was a drastic increase from the 332,000 pounds recalled Tuesday.

The recall represents all Topps products with either a sell by date or a best if used by date between Sept. 25 this year and Sept. 25, 2008. The Elizabeth-based company said this information is found on a package s back panel.

All recalled products also have a USDA establishment number of EST 9748, which is located on the back panel of the package and-or in the USDA legend, the company said.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture said Friday it had suspended the grinding of raw products at the Topps plant after inspectors found inadequate safety measures at the Topps plant. The USDA declined to detail the inadequate safety measures.

A full list of the recalled products is available at http://www.toppsmeat.com/.

Topps Meat to close down after meat recall

Big frozen hamburger maker goes out of business after E. coli scare
Associated Press

NEWARK, N.J. - Topps Meat Co. on Friday said it was closing its business, six days after it was forced to issue the second-largest beef recall in U.S. history and 67 years after it first opened its doors.

The decision will cost 87 people their jobs, Topps said. On Sept. 25 Topps began recalling frozen hamburger patties that may have been contaminated with the potentially fatal E. coli bacteria strain O157:H7. The recall eventually ballooned to 21.7 million pounds of ground beef.

Thirty people in eight states had E. coli infections matching the strain found in the Topps patties, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported. None have died.
"This is tragic for all concerned," said Topps chief operating officer Anthony D'Urso, a member of the family that founded the company in 1940.

The Biblical High Holydays and the Appointed Seasons of Yah

On this side of Yom Kippur 2007
By Yehuda H. Cohane

We have come to the end of Succoth 2007 (The Feast Of Tabernacles); an eight-day High Holy Festive Celebration wherein the first and eighth day of this period are recognized as Sabbath Festivals.

“And Yah spoke unto Moses, ‘saying speak unto the children of Israel, saying the fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days unto Yah. On the first day shall be an holy convocation: you shall do no servile work therein. Seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yah. On the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and you shall make an offering made by fire unto Yah: it is a solemn assembly; and you shall do no servile work therein.

Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep a feast unto Yah seven days. On the first day shall be a Sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a Sabbath. And you shall take on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees and the boughs of thick trees and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before Yah seven days. And you shall keep it a feast unto Yah seven days in the year. It shall be a statute forever in your generations: you shall celebrate it in the seventh month. You shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites shall dwell in booths; that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am Yah Yahwah. And Moses declared unto the Children of Israel the feasts of Yah.

Leviticus 22:33-36, 39-44

Succoth is a very festive time; all sons and daughters of the Most High are to be full of expressions of thanksgiving, gratitude and appreciation. Succoth, immediately follows Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement), a time wherein the The sons and daughters of Yah have been reconciled with Him. During the Holy Convocation that closes out Yom Kippur, the message for the new spiritual season is sent forth from Jerusalem. The New spiritual season is proclaimed, so that we can evolve to the next level of consciousness and oneness with Yah.

“And in that day you shall say, O Yah you were angry with me, your anger is turned away, and you comforted me. Behold, Yah is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid; for Yah even Yah Yahwah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Therefore, with joy shall you draw water out of wells of salvation. And in that day shall you say, Praise Yah, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted. Sing unto Yah; for he has done excellent things. This is known in all the earth. Cry out and shout, you inhabitant of Zion; for great is the Holy One of Yisrael in the midst of you."

Isaiah 12:1-6

The Holy Season of Succoth is a pilgrimage feast, one of three pilgrimage feasts established by the Holy One of Israel. The other two pilgrimage feasts are the Feast of Unleavened Bread/Khag Hamatsote, and Shavuote/The Feast of Weeks (Feast of the Harvest/First Fruit). During these three pilgrimage feasts, every male among the Children of Israel must be accounted for at Jerusalem, as recorded in the sacred writings of the Book of Deuteronomy, the sixteenth chapter. Historically, every male had to present himself before the Throne of Yah to present an offering. He could not come empty-handed. If he could not journey up to Jerusalem, he was to present his offering unto the Priest where he lives or to the widows and the fatherless.

Succoth is a season of great thanksgiving in that we have arrived on the other side of Yom Kippur, the day of Yah’s judgment, having been atoned with the Holy One of Israel and our people and reconciled back unto His Holy will. The joy is overflowing the wells of salvation as we are being gathered back into the land of our origin, Israel, to shine the light of Yah’s intellect and knowledge upon all men, bringing forth a new, blessed existence for the Adamic/Edenic Family. Our application of Yah’s laws and instructions removes the curses, plagues, death and destruction which ruled over us under the satanic, liberal, democratic knowledge of the Euro-gentile civilization and causes our re-entry into the cycles of everlasting life. As we continue to elevate in the higher realms of Yah’s intellect and knowledge, we shall reap the blessings of abundant health, loving families, peaceful neighborhoods, clean environments and a care-free society. We pray that all men can experience these blessings by adhering to this truth, which is being disseminated from Zion.

“Succah” in the Hebrew language means “booth, tabernacle, or temporary dwelling place.” The significance of keeping this High Holy Day is to cause us to remember that Yah made our fathers to dwell in booths/tents during their sojourn in the wilderness (ancient and contemporary), after the exodus from Egypt. This kind of dwelling was vital to our fathers because at that time they were continually on the move. This was a transitional state for Israel, the nomadic lifestyle which they were to experience before re-entering Caanan, the Promised Land to settle permanently. These booths could be easily dismantled and reconstructed at the next camp site. This historical background is significant and should be thoroughly taught and understood during the celebration of Succoth.

Succoth is the spiritual and physical fulfillment of that evolutionary transition because the state of mind of the previous season will not guarantee passage into the new season. A spiritual and physical paradigm shift is required for us to meet the standards of the new season. This shift can only occur through recognizing that the spiritual mode of the previous season has now been elevated and we must rise to this new conciousnesss.

The Spiritual Signifigance of the Sabbath and Holydays by the Prophetic Priesthood at Jerusalem

It is as if the canvas that one would use to reassemble his succah, tent/tabernacle for the next spiritual year would be composed of the critical message of the season that is disclosed at Yom Kippur; this is the shelter that protects and nurtures us. For around this message we construct our lives.

During this year’s Yom Kippur season, we are to be reminded of the great spiritual tenets of being our brothers’ keeper, afflicting the soul; the value of forgiveness, and Culture being observable worship.

We are to be our brother’s keeper and our brother’s protector; for we have been together humbling ourselves in the midst of one another throughout this redemptive struggle. Our lives are interdependently intertwined, and will be eternally.

Afflicting our soul, making a sincere effort to remove all arrogance from ourselves, to convince the offended that we are truly sorry, truly repentant and remorseful. In much the same way that historically the Adamic/Edenic family had to repent unto the resurrection and restoration of the marriage between themselves and Yah. We can never forget, our courtship with the Creator was 33 years after the divorce which lasted for thousands of years.

The forgiving of an unrepentant evildoer is an abomination unto Yah. Forgiveness must be valued greatly; so much so that when one is forgiven for their offenses they will experience such great true joy and appreciation for which there is no substitute. Afflicting the soul is a reminder for us that forgiveness must have value. We cannot be so easy to dismiss offenses against The Most High, and against one another, because the offender may never learn to appreciate the process of reconciliation and the value of forgiveness.

Culture is observable worship. This season is the season of the Great Ascension of Kingdom Culture, Yah having risen His High, Holy and Sacred culture upon thee, let your culture so shine before men that they may see the elegance of Yah the one true and living God upon you.

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
For; …behold, the darkness (a culture of darkness) covers the earth, and gross darkness the people. but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

Goal-driven achievers less prone to Alzheimer's

Purposeful personality may guard brain against decline, researcher says
Associated Press

CHICAGO - A surprising study of elderly people suggests that those who see themselves as self-disciplined, organized achievers have a lower risk for developing Alzheimer's disease than people who are less conscientious.

A purposeful personality may somehow protect the brain, perhaps by increasing neural connections that can act as a reserve against mental decline, said study co-author Robert Wilson of Chicago's Rush University Medical Center. Astoundingly, the brains of some of the dutiful people in the study were examined after their deaths and were found to have lesions that would meet accepted criteria for Alzheimer's - even though these people had shown no signs of dementia.

"This adds to our knowledge that lifestyle, personality, how we think, feel and behave are very importantly tied up with risk for this terrible illness," Wilson said. "It may suggest new ideas for trying to delay the onset of this illness."

An Apple a Day

How the famed fruit protects the brain
By Psychology Today.com

An apple a day keeps the doctor away, as the saying goes. And not just any doctor. An apple a day may help keep the neurologist away—along with the cognitive decline that often accompanies aging and neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.

Food scientist Chang Y. Lee recently found that a nutrient in apples can protect rat brain cells from damage. The nutrient, an antioxidant called quercetin, provided even more protection than Vitamin C, which is known to combat neurodegenerative diseases in humans.

KNN Exclusive-Prince Asiel Ben Israel elevated to the rank of Knight

Prince Asiel Ben Israel says that they had seen what’s called the “Door of No Return.” This entire experience moved him to say that Benin constitutes Africa’s Door of Return
“La Nation” / The Nation Daily NewsRepublic of Benin - Translated by
A. Tovleeyah KNN-Benin

"The head of the United States of America delegation from the State of Illinois, Prince Asiel Ben Israel, who sojourned to Benin the 29th to the 31st of this past August, was elevated the rank of Knight in Benin’s National Order. The ceremony of this honorary distinction, which took place last Friday, at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, of African Integration, the Francophone and the Beninese Abroad, under the presidency of the Vice Grand Chancellor of Benin’s National Order, Romain Vilon Ghezo, was at the instruction of the Head of the State who attaches importance to this delegation which intends to invest in Benin." —By Bruno Sewade

“You are special in Benin. This is why you have peace. Now, you are going to experience wealth.” By these remarks, Prince Asiel, the head of the delegation from the state of Illinois of the United States of America, has acknowledged the interest that the Head of the State, President Yayi Boni and the Beninese people hold to his delegation and to his personality.

For Minister of the Foreign Affairs, Moussa Okanla, things are happening today in the United States which are causing that the Black race begin to emerge. And he hopes that in a few years, this same race will surpass the average to reach a higher stage.

The black race in the United States, according to Minister Okanla, must consolidate its economic base by establishing relations between partnership and the African Continent. And it is what Prince Asiel Ben Israel and his delegation understood in making the journey to Cotonou. Our hosts having chosen Benin as the central point, the Minister for Foreign Affaires estimates, which will allow us to spread to the countries in the West African sub-region, before adding what’s necessary to bring this State of Illinois delegation assistance so that his dream becomes a reality in Africa.

In thanking the President of the Republic and the Beninese people for this distinction, Prince Asiel Ben Israel indicates that it is not him who is honored, but rather Benin. “In America, we will never forget the Black Land,” indicated the Prince who discloses that over years, they prayed to return home to Africa. In Benin, [Prince] Asiel Ben Israel says that they had seen what’s called the “Door of No Return.” This entire experience moved him to say that Benin constitutes Africa’s Door of Return.

The Prince and his delegation’s Benin sojourn follow a visit carried out by President Boni Yayi to the United States of America in 2006, where he signed in Chicago, in the State of Illinois, a memorandum within the framework of an economic partnership.

MLK disciples work for peace in the Mideast

Lafayette, is training a group of Palestinian social workers, civil rights activists and political leaders to spread King's teachings of nonviolence across the West Bank & Gaza Strip
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Submitted by A. Ahmahlyah

Bethlehem, West Bank --- For decades, the rocky soil in the Holy Land has been notoriously hostile to peace. But civil rights activist Bernard Lafayette believes he has the right spiritual fertilizer to change that.

Lafayette, a longtime assistant of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., is training a group of Palestinian social workers, civil rights activists and political leaders to spread King's teachings of nonviolence across the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

"People talk about how hopeless this place is ... but I feel that these are problems with a solution," said Lafayette, a former resident of Atlanta. "I've seen places where peace looked just as impossible. ... These places turned around. It's never too late for the seeds of justice to bloom."

Last week, 32 Palestinians involved in organizations committed to peace completed a yearlong course sponsored by the Southern Christian Leadership Conference and the Center for Non-Violence and Peace Studies at the University of Rhode Island, which Lafayette heads.

Last year the SCLC opened two centers for nonviolence training in the Middle East. One is in Bethlehem and the other is in the southern Israeli city of Dimona, a desert town that is home to the African Hebrew Israelites, a group of African-Americans who have encountered antipathy and concern over their 30-year attempt to settle permanently in Israel.

Special Holy Day Series - The Biblical High Holy Days

The Appointed Seasons of Yah
Part 3
by Yehuda H. Cohane
KNN-Dimona

Yom Kippur, is a one day solemn Sabbath observance wherein we are to seek reconciliation and atonement with Yah, and with one another. The higher understanding of the affliction of the soul is when one truthfully acknowledges his error, and truthfully regrets what he or she has done that was offensive unto Yah or to their brother or sister. Atonement means to be willing to stand for truth in righteousness, as an acknowledgment of the embarrassment of one’s past.

Yom Kippur is the most important day of reconciliation in the Hebraic calendar. Reconciliation should however, take place continually throughout the year, in the maintainence of a righteous ecology of people. We must be sensitive to one another in order that we be able to overcome adversarial forces that are in opposition to Yah and what he is trying to create.

The affliction of your soul during Yom Kippur is a symbolic affliction to remind us that there is something that we must feel. Each year the fast from the desires of the flesh and suffering the embarrassment of your past actions, reminds us of the pain that we caused Yah and our people. Without feeling this pain or affliction, you cannot make proper atonement or be reconciled to Yah and one another.

Repentance or change can only take place when there is deep regret for the pain that you have caused someone else to feel by the things that you said or did to them. We have to feel the pain we caused the Creator when we turned our backs on Him.

It is because of the fall of the Sons of Light, the Children of Israel, that all this hell exists on the planet today. All the death, pain, sickness and disease that plague the human family came about because our fathers turned their backs on the Holy One of Israel.

"The greater goal is to cause the Adamic Family to be refortified with the source of its creation, which is the mind of Yah. This strengthens the Adamic Family’s ability to resemble/personify Yah in the creation."

The Spiritual Signifigance of the Sabbath and Holydays by the Prophetic Priesthood at Jerusalem

Therefore our prayer is that you truly embrace the seriousness of this coming season while yet rejoicing in the accomplishments of forty years of reconciliation with Yah Yisrael. We made this journey, now look at the inheritance that we are giving to our children: the yoke of our oppression is gone, our generations will never be conquered again, the book/seal of the prophecies is open, we are exposed to Truth all day every day, our prayers are now being heard, we are restored to Genesis 1:29, need we say more.

Forty years have passed and all of the things that our Fathers had done that we had formerly inherited have now passed into history. The Kingdom of Yah has truly come!

Chicago to host 27th Annual Holy Jerusalem Writers’ Conference

This conference will be a special commemorative event celebrating 40 years of social excellence
KNN Chicago

On October 13th and 14th The African Hebrew Israelites of Jerusalem will host their 27th Annual Holy Jerusalem Writers’ Conference at the Alumni House and the International House at the University of Chicago. This conference will be a special commemorative event celebrating 40 years of social excellence. Using the social platform of “regenerative truth” The African Hebrew Israelites have eliminated poverty, terminal diseases, illiteracy, HIV AIDS etc. this event will showcase international scholars, writers, historians political leaders and entrepreneurs within the global community who have become impact players within this social phenomenon. Today The African Hebrew Israelites stand as an exemplary model for all truth centered people who desire to live in a reality of earthy paradise.

A Brief History
The African Hebrew Israelites are the largest, repatriated settlement of African Americans outside of the United States; May 2007 marked their 4th decade existing as an independent and self-sufficient community. Having developed their social platform on the concepts of regenerative truth and health literacy, they have successfully eradicated all of the social decadence and infirmities that has historically plagued African Edenic communities worldwide. This social excellence has gained them the reputation of being an “Island of Sanity”.

The African Hebrew Israelites believe that the majority of Africans brought to the Americus during what was called the “Trans Atlantic Slave Trade” where descendants of the Biblical Israelites. Their arrival to the Northern Hemisphere was due to a prophetic mandate that was socially designed to execute God’s chastisement and judgment on them for forsaking His sacred laws and ordinances.

This period of prophetic judgment conclude in 1967 with the appearance of a spiritually centered young man, Ben Ammi. Under His Divinely inspired leadership, Ben Ammi, encouraged approximately 350 Brothers and Sisters to turn their hopes for liberation and reparation to the redemptive ideas of the African-Edenic Hebrew Prophets. According to the prophetic agenda, 1967 marked the time for the great exodus from the United States back to Israel, the land of the promise.

Their initial sojourn took them to Liberia, the West Coast of Africa, where according to prophetic mandate; they would have to return back to Israel via the same way which they had left. It was on the West Coast of Africa that European Slavers carried them off to the Americus. Also, Liberia was the only West African State that had an open door policy to receive African repatriating from the Americus.

They remained in Liberia for approximately 2 ½ years with the sole purpose of eradicating the negro phobia and negative growth which had consumed them while existing in the slave orientated society for over 400 years. This process was a means of spiritual cleansing and rejuvenation. In 1968 the first members moved into Israel and by 1969 Ben Ammi had managed to move the entire group into Israel. After a nearly 20 year political tiff with the government of Israel over the issue of conversion, The African Hebrew Israelites were accepted into the cultural populace of Israel based on their own idea of Judaism which was founded on the historical and regenerative concept of national identity, not religion. In 2000 they received permanent residency solidifying their community as a legitimate component of Israel society. However, their contribution has been and will continue to be spiritual in order to display the “redemptive” reality that Israel, as the Holy Land is the Spiritual center of the earth.

Premier Seaweed, Inc. is proud to introduce the most tasty nori sheets on the market today. Not only will you enjoy the flavor; your body will benefit from the minerals and vitamins (see Seaweed FAQs) found in this delightful sea vegetable.

At the time of the atomic bombing, Tatsuichiro Akizuki, M.D. was director of the department of Internal Medicine at St. Francis's Hospital in Nagasaki and he fed his staff and patients a strict diet of brown rice, miso soup, sea salt and Sea Vegetables.

By imposing this diet on his staff and patients, no one succumbed to radiation poisoning whereas the occupants of hospitals located much farther away from the blast incident suffered severe radiation fatalities. Much of this positive result has to do with then fact that the Sea Vegetables contain substances that bind radioactive particles and escort them out of the body. This is why seaweed sales usually skyrocket after radiation disasters, and why various seaweed and algae are typically used to treat radiation victims. In short......"

Typhoon Wipha slams into coast near Shanghai

2 million evacuate after forecasts call storm the most powerful in a decade
Associated Press

SHANGHAI, China - Typhoon Wipha slammed into the coast south of Shanghai early Wednesday as authorities moved 2 million people following forecasts it would be the most powerful storm to hit eastern China in a decade.

Shanghai closed schools, delayed or postponed dozens of flights and ferry crossings and other transport links amid warnings of torrential rains and strong winds.

The storm’s eye made landfall near Cangnan in southern Zhejiang province, some 240 miles south of Shanghai, and was losing force as it moved north along the coast, state media reported.

Authorities in Shanghai, Zhejiang and Fujian province ordered 2 million people evacuated from ships and coastal regions and from housing judged to be unsafe.

The storm, with winds gusting to 145 mph, was losing force as it moved north along the coast and was expected to pass over Shanghai later Wednesday, local weather reports said.

The ‘Jena Six’

Things are looking up for six black teens charged with trying to kill a white classmate last year after a Louisiana court vacated the conviction of one of the men.
By Gretel C. Kovach
Newsweek

National civil-rights advocates say something remains very amiss in the small town.

Sept. 15, 2007 - Civil rights protestors are still planning to converge on tiny Jena, La., next week—even though the “Jena Six” claimed a major victory Friday. It’s been nine months since six high school students were arrested and accused of trying to beat a white classmate to death. Even longer since nooses were found hanging from a schoolyard oak tree favored by whites the morning after black students dared to venture under its boughs.

Mychal Bell, the 17-year-old former Jena High School football star convicted on a felony assault charge in the case, has been incarcerated since the December fight. But on Friday, a state appeals court vacated Bell’s conviction. He was 16 years old at the time of the fight and should not have been tried as an adult, the court ruled. The attempted murder charges were also reduced recently for the other Jena Six teens facing adult punishment. Local black residents and many outside observers said the murder charges were overly harsh. The only weapons involved were the students’ tennis shoes, and while the white victim was treated for injuries at a hospital, he went home the same day.

Eating Together As A Family Creates Better Eating Habits Later In Life

More family meals during adolescence is associated with improved diet quality
Submitted by MelindaBA

Eating together as a family during adolescence is associated with lasting positive effects on dietary quality in young adulthood, according to researchers at the University of Minnesota.

More than 1,500 students were surveyed once during high school and again when they were 20 years old to determine the long-term effects of family meals on diet quality, social eating, meal structure and meal frequency. Participants were asked questions such as how often they ate family meals, how much they enjoyed sitting down to a meal with family or friends, if they had a tendency to eat on the run and how often they ate breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The researchers found eating family meals together during adolescence resulted in adults who ate more fruit, dark-green and orange vegetables and key nutrients, and drank less soft drinks. Frequency of family meals predicted females would eat breakfast as adults. For both sexes, frequency of family meals as adolescents predicted eating dinner more frequently as adults, placing a higher priority on structured meals and a higher priority on social eating. For women, eating together as a family more often during adolescence meant significantly higher daily intakes as adults of calcium, magnesium, potassium, vitamin B6 and fiber. Among males, eating as a family more during adolescence predicted higher intakes of calcium, magnesium, potassium and fiber as adults. "

Results of this study suggest that having more family meals during adolescence is associated with improved diet quality during young adulthood," the researchers say. "Food and nutrition professionals should encourage families to share meals as often as practically possible."

Study: Injuries, Deaths Tied to Consumer Drugs Rise Sharply

'Adverse events' more than doubled between 1998 and 2005
By Amanda Gardner
HealthDay Reporter

MONDAY, Sept. 10 (HealthDay News) -- The number of serious adverse drug events more than doubled between 1998 and 2005 in the United States, as did the number of related deaths, a new study found.

"This is the first study to ask the question, 'Are we gaining ground or losing ground in drug safety and improving patient safety in prescription drugs?' And I think, inescapably, the conclusion is that we're losing ground," said study lead author Thomas Moore, of the Institute for Safe Medication Practices, in Huntingdon Valley, Pa.

"This is a subject the public or health professionals just don't like to think about," Moore added. "Doctors don't like to think that what they're doing could be hurting patients. The pharmaceutical industry wants the public focused on benefits, and many people just want to believe this drug is going to help them. We need to focus on this problem. We can manage the risks of prescription drugs if we start to pay attention."

Special Holy Day Series - The Biblical High Holy Days

The Appointed Seasons of Yah
Part 2
by Yehuda H. Cohane
KNN-Dimona

The High Holy Days of Yah are arranged in a very particular symmetry and sequence beginning with the observance of Yom Kippur—The Day of Atonement that activates the new spiritual season, which corresponds with the fall or autumn of the year.

“And Yah spoke unto Moses, saying: Speak unto the Children of Israel, saying, in the seventh month in the first day of the month, shall you have a Sabbath, a Memorial of Blowing of the Trumpets, an Holy convocation. You shall do no servile work therein; but you shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yah.”
Leviticus 23:23-25

Shabbatone Zechrone Thruah, which means the Sabbath memorial of a creative spirit, blast or alarm. It is a time to enter into serious retrospection and introspection considering your relationship with Yah, your people and the creation. It is a time to prepare for the Day of Atonement, which follows ten days later. This sound “thru-ah” is relating to the creative regenerative Spirit/Word of Yah. Many during this time celibrate what is called Rosh Hashanah, the new year, instead of the Memorial Blowing of the Trumpets. The beginning of the year, according to the ancient Hebraic calendar cycle, is in the season of Aviv, which corresponds with the spring of the year, as indicated in Leviticus 23 and Exodus 12:1-4.

The Children of Israel were commanded to offer an offering made by fire. Every son and daughter of Yah must make acceptable supplication unto Him. Words of Truth from the mouth, in unison with that which is in the heart, are the only words acceptable to Yah.

That is, when the servant of Yah that is chosen has established an ensign, (a model environment, the Kingdom of Yah on the mountain or the high place, Jerusalem), hear His instructions, hear His spoken words when he blows his trumpet, and when he speaks the Word of Yah.

“For out of Zion shall go forth the law and the Word of Yah from Jerusalem.”

Isaiah 2:3

"Jerusalem is to be an ensign, a spiritual center for the heralding of the Gospel, the Word of Yah. It is to be the center where the trumpet comes into the hearing of all the inhabitants of the earth. This sound will change the thoughts of the peoples and have them turn toward Yah with all of their heart, soul and might. They will be obedient to His laws and instructions so that they may live."

Quote from : The Spiritual Signifigance of the Sabbath and Holydays by the Prophetic Priesthood at Jerusalem.

“And Yah spoke unto Moses saying: Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an Holy Convocation unto you; and you shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto Yah.

It shall be unto you a Sabbath of rest, and you shall afflict your souls; in the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening shall you celebrate your Sabbath.”

Nuclear Bombs Mistakenly Fly Over U.S.

By PAULINE JELINEK

WASHINGTON (Sept. 5) -- A B-52 bomber was mistakenly armed with six nuclear warheads and flown for more than three hours across several states last week, prompting an Air Force investigation and the firing of one commander, Pentagon officials said Wednesday.

The mistake was so serious that President Bush and Defense Secretary Robert Gates were quickly informed and Gates has asked for daily briefings on the Air Force inquiry, said Defense Department press secretary Geoff Morrell.

Nonviolence Guru Returns To Israel

Dr. Lafayette’s activities in Israel are co-sponsored by the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. /Ben Ammi Institute for a New Humanity
Marnina Davis
KNN-Dimona

Eighteen months ago distinguished scholar-in residence at the University of Rhode Island Dr. Bernard LaFayette, Jr. on a visit to Israel forecasted that peace could possibly come to the region within five years. Few people believed him. This week the nonviolence disciple of Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. is back and working to make his vision a reality. He will be facilitating a series of seminars, workshops and lectures highlighting the use of Dr. King’s principles and strategies as a pathway to peace in this region.

Dr. LaFayette’s series of seminars and workshops will be held in Bethlehem for a collective of Palestinian youth, as well as a consortium of Israeli and Palestinians in the Negev town of Dimona at the Hebrew Israelite Village of Peace. Dr. Lafayette’s activities in Israel are co-sponsored by the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. /Ben Ammi Institute for a New Humanity (INH) which is a cooperative venture between Dr. King’s long time civil rights organization Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), the African Hebrew Israelites of Jerusalem and BSI, Int’l. Dr. Lafayette is also a member of SCLC’s Executive board and its international Ambassador.

This lecture series is entitled Kingian Nonviolence-Preparing for the Future. “We are preparing for a new paradigm in this region of peace and reconciliation”. Dr. LaFayette stated when asked what is the purpose of his visit, “The only way one can receive a future filed with new and different options is to prepare for that future. We are planting the seeds for a new Middle-East because a new paradigm for the Middle-East means a new paradigm for the world.”

The Institute for a New Humanity is preparing to launch an initiative in Israeli and Palestinian schools to address the internal conflict on both sides of the equation. Dr. LaFayette stated that, “our desire is to train trainers and provide new skills to help create a new people-to-people ecology and an environment for peace and reconciliation at a grassroots level”.

Dr. LaFayette and members of the INH were involved in the First Palestinian Conference on Nonviolence held in Bethlehem in December of 2005. Since then Dr. LaFayette has returned to Israel several times and trained Palestinian youth groups and Israelis in Ramala, Bethlehem, Jerusalem and Dimona respectively. He has also lectured in Tel Aviv, as well as in Jerusalem at the Van Leer Institute. Dr. LaFayette will be accompanied this time by Captain Charles Alphin Sr., senior trainer in nonviolence and former educational trainer at the King Center in Atlanta, Ga.

On September 5, 2007 there will be a graduation for students of Kingian Nonviolence in Bethlehem. On September 6, 2007, an open conference, in Dimona in which Dr. LaFayette will do a comprehensive one-day workshop and lecture on holistic and Kingian Nonviolence, considered the pathway to Peace in preparation for the “Beloved Community” as espoused by Dr. King.

Special Holy Day Series - The Biblical High Holy Days

The Appointed Seasons of Yah
Part 1
by Yehuda H. Cohane
KNN-Dimona

The time is fastly approaching for the entering in of the High Holy Day season.

From Jerusalem we will usher in Shabbatone Zechrone Thruah (Sabbath in Remembrance of the Creative Spirit/Sound) on September 12/13, Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement) on September 21/22, and Succot (The Feast of Tabernacles) on September 26/27 opening; and it’s closing October 3/4, 2007.

The keeping of these holy cycles of Yah Yisrael are paramount in the life of any God fearing individual; they were never done away with, as religious institutions would have the human family to believe.

All ancient Edenic scholars taught the observance of the annual High Holy Days given unto us by Yah. It was not until after the Middle Ages that new ordinances, originating in Rome, came forth. When the Holy Lands were conquered by Europe, a new scholar, who represented the institutions of Europe, emerged as the authority of God and true worship. The European scholar gave no respect to truth, neither did he desire to worship according to ancient Edenic culture. Pagan customs, rituals and worship were placed in the stead of Yah’s traditions. Yah’s guiding spirit was supplanted by the establishment of many religions which authored a way of life which was in direct opposition to Yah and his truth. These same religious institutions have been the creators of today’s evil culture and society.

Obesity rates climbed in 31 states in U.S.

Mississippi ranked No. 1 with 30 percent overweight, study found
Associated Press

WASHINGTON - Loosen the belt buckle another notch: Obesity rates continued to climb in 31 states last year, and no state showed a decline.

Mississippi became the first state to crack the 30 percent barrier for adults considered to be obese. West Virginia and Alabama were just behind, according to the Trust for America’s Health, a research group that focuses on disease prevention.

A lack of exercise is a huge factor in obesity rates. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found last year that more than 22 percent of Americans did not engage in any physical activity in the past month. The percentage is greater than 30 percent in four states: Mississippi, Louisiana, Kentucky and Tennessee.
